provisions. During 1983–1990 the series reflect interest paid from the<br />

trust fund to the general fund on advance tax transfers. Finally, the amount<br />

shown for the OASI fund in series Bf446 for 1985 includes an interest adjustment<br />

of $88 million on unnegotiated checks issued prior to April 1985. For<br />

the DI fund in series Bf456, the amount shown for 1985 includes an interest<br />

adjustment of $14.8 million on unnegotiated checks issued before April<br />

1985. In 1987, other receipts from the DI trust fund, series Bf456, include<br />

$195 million in transfers from the DI trust fund to the general fund of the<br />

Treasury to correct estimated amounts transferred for calendar years 1984<br />

<strong>and</strong> 1985.<br />

for vocational rehabilitation services furnished to disabled persons receiving<br />

benefits because of their disabilities. Beginning in 1983, amounts are reduced<br />

by amount of reimbursement for unnegotiated benefit checks.<br />

Series Bf459. Other expenditures of the DI trust fund include administrative<br />

expenses <strong>and</strong> transfers to the Railroad Retirement program.
