“ERROR – Title Included”<br />
“ERROR – Title Included” is<br />
a piece that is designed to<br />
evoke resistance against<br />
censorship mechanisms<br />
employed by national and<br />
transnational power centers<br />
to monitor digital communication<br />
networks. Utilizing<br />
existing notification schemes<br />
intrinsic to Internet grammar,<br />
this work aims to derive<br />
a new ‘syntax’ capable of<br />
arousing direct commentary<br />
on current issues of political,<br />
social, economic and ecological<br />
significance. The work<br />
will be presented both as an<br />
aggregate of plain light boxes<br />
installed in physical space<br />
and also as a surprise effect,<br />
a ‘pop up’, activated via hidden<br />
links that are embedded<br />
within the amber platform<br />
website as well as other related<br />
institutional web spaces.<br />
“ERROR – Title Included” is<br />
meant to evolve into a mini<br />
web application, a “commons<br />
tense”, that is freely downloadable<br />
by public in order to call<br />
for discussion and provide critique<br />
regarding public issues.<br />
Offering a potential to reappear<br />
in a diverse variety of online<br />
contexts, this piece proposes to<br />
define a new tool for political<br />
demonstration and provoke a<br />
new mode of social protest that<br />
is unique to the cyberspace.<br />
“ERROR - Title Inluded” is<br />
een stuk dat ontworpen is om<br />
weerstand op te roepen tegen<br />
het censuur-mechanisme door<br />
nationale en transnationale<br />
machtscentra om digitale<br />
communicatienetwerken te<br />
controleren. Door gebruik te<br />
maken van de bestaande kennis<br />
van het internet grammatica,<br />
wil “ERROR – Title Included”<br />
een nieuwe zinsbouw<br />
ontwikkelen om direct commentaar<br />
te kunnen leveren<br />
op actuele politieke, sociale,<br />
economische en ecologische<br />
vraagstukken.<br />
Het werk wordt gepresenteerd<br />
in een aggregraat van<br />
platte lichtbakken in de fysieke<br />
ruimte en door middel<br />
van een verrassings-effect,<br />
een ‘pop-up’, geactiveerd via<br />
verborgen links in de amber-<br />
Platform websites als ook in<br />
andere gerelateerde institutionele<br />
webruimtes.<br />
Het is de bedoeling dat<br />
“ERROR – Title Included”<br />
uitgroeit tot een mini web-applicatie,<br />
een ‘commons tense’<br />
die gratis te downloaden is<br />
door het publiek om te discussieren<br />
en kritiek te geven op<br />
openbare kwesties. Het werk<br />
wil een nieuw instrument zijn<br />
voor politieke demonstraties<br />
en lokt een nieuwe vorm van<br />
sociaal protest op het web uit.<br />
“ERROR – Title Included” fiziksel<br />
kamu alanlarının özelleştirilmesinden<br />
sonra, dijital<br />
iletişimi de tümden kontrolü<br />
altına almak isteyen, sansürcü,<br />
merkezi otoriter girişim karşısında,<br />
PC ve internet gramatiğinde<br />
en başından beri varolan<br />
‘uyarı şemalarını’ kullanarak<br />
farklı bir ‘sentaks’ oluşturmak<br />
ve bu gramer üzerinden gündemdeki<br />
politik, toplumsal,<br />
ekonomik ve ökolojik bağlantılara<br />
doğrudan bir yorumda<br />
bulunmak üzerine kurgulanmıştır.<br />
Sergide basit ışıklı kutular<br />
yerleştirerek gösterilecek,<br />
ayrıca amberPlatformun web<br />
ortamında, TodayArts festivali<br />
ve diğer sanat enstitülerin<br />
websayfalarında, ‘pop up’larla<br />
kullanıcının karşısına çıkarak<br />
şaşırtacak, gündemdeki problem<br />
alanlarına doğrudan yorum<br />
yapan, bir cins “commons<br />
tense” oluşturacaktır.<br />
Internetten yüklenebilir bir<br />
mini yazılımla kamu malına<br />
dönüştürülerek, herkesin kullanımına<br />
açılacak, çeşitli webplatformları,<br />
blog ya da websayfalarında<br />
karşımıza çıkarak,<br />
ironik/ısırgan politik sloganlarla,<br />
her isteyenin, çeşitli durumlarda<br />
sesini duyurmak için<br />
kullanabileceği bir cins protesto<br />
biçimi, bir pankart (banner)<br />
olarak, sanal ortamda yeni bir<br />
politik demonstrasyon biçimi<br />
olarak yayılması sağlanacaktır.<br />
