5. After you select the options that are appropriate <strong>for</strong> your organization, you can run the<br />

command by clicking Run, as shown in Figure 3.18 above.<br />

3.3 Moving data<br />

With <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong>, you can move your data from the database tables to the file system<br />

(Export) and bring back the data from file system to the tables (Import or Load). Using<br />

these features lets you transfer the data from a table in a database to another table in the<br />

same or different database. Exporting and importing is also useful when you want to import<br />

a large volume of data into a table that includes large objects. This section will outline how<br />

to export data into the file system and import the data from the file system into a table.<br />

The location of the data files that you use to export or import data should be on the<br />

computer where your <strong>DB2</strong> database server exists when you select the following types:<br />

Load -> With Import Utility
