As shown in Figure 1.31, the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> In<strong>for</strong>mation Center also includes in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

about <strong>IBM</strong> InfoSphere Optim pureQuery Runtime, because there is a development-only<br />

license of pureQuery Runtime included <strong>for</strong> use on the same computer as <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong>.<br />

In addition, the in<strong>for</strong>mation center includes links to previous releases of the products (in<br />

pale gray bar) and to other products in the InfoSphere Optim <strong>Data</strong> Lifecycle Tools<br />

portfolio (under the task-oriented tabs in the black bar).<br />

In the next set of exercises you will install <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console, add a database<br />

connection to the Sample Outdoor Company database, and use the task launcher to get<br />

com<strong>for</strong>table using the web console interface.<br />

1. Install <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console using the instructions in this chapter.<br />

2. If you haven’t already done so, set up the Sample Outdoor Company database using<br />

the instructions you can find here:<br />
