3.5.3 Roll <strong>for</strong>ward<br />

A roll <strong>for</strong>ward operation applies transactions on the restored database, which are recorded<br />

in the database logs. The roll <strong>for</strong>ward operation applies transactions that were recorded in<br />

the database log files to a restored database backup image or table space backup image.<br />

To roll <strong>for</strong>ward a database to a specific point:<br />

1. Right-click the database and select Back Up and Restore -> Roll Forward, as shown in<br />

Figure 3.36.<br />
