5.3.4 Content assist in the SQL and XQuery editor<br />

Like many other <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> features, the SQL and XQuery editor provides content assist<br />

to help you create SQL statements. Similar to the Java editor in Eclipse, content assist can<br />

be triggered by pressing the key combination Ctrl+Space.<br />

To create your SQL statement <strong>with</strong> content assist, type the expressionselect * from<br />

and then press Ctrl+Space. This sequence of steps will display the content assist <strong>for</strong><br />

selecting database tables. When referencing fully qualified table names, you can take<br />

advantage of content assist <strong>for</strong> multiple steps, as shown in Figure 5.26. Label 1 shows<br />

content assist <strong>for</strong> the selecting a schema name, Label 2 <strong>for</strong> the table name, and Label 3 <strong>for</strong><br />

the column name.
