You can create SQL or XQuery script in two different ways: by opening a new SQL and<br />

XQuery editor, or by using the SQL Query Builder.<br />

Note:<br />

The SQL Query Builder does not support XQuery.<br />

The recommended way to develop SQL or XQuery scripts in <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> is by using the<br />

SQL and XQuery editor. In this book, we describe both approaches; first <strong>with</strong> the editor and<br />

then achieving the same result using the SQL Query Builder.<br />

To create an SQL script using the editor, select the SQL and XQuery editor option on the<br />

Script and Tool page of the New SQL or XQuery Script wizard, as shown in Figure 5.13.<br />

When you click Finish, the SQL and XQuery editor opens <strong>for</strong> the newly created<br />

Script1.sql, as shown in Figure 5.14.
