Be<strong>for</strong>e you install <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console, per<strong>for</strong>m the following steps:<br />

1.6 Installing the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console<br />

The server-side component of the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console can be installed either using<br />

the graphic user interface (GUI), through a command-line console, or through the silent<br />

install option. The silent install option lets you edit a sample response file <strong>with</strong> your chosen<br />

installation options, and then run that response file. Silent installs are mainly useful <strong>for</strong><br />

larger installations in which installations must be deployed to many computers.<br />

Follow these steps to install the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console:<br />

1. After you extract the files from the download package, start the installation program as<br />

follows:<br />

Windows: Run theDSWC.v3.1.1.install-on-windows-x86_64.exe file<br />

located in the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console installation media.<br />

Linux and UNIX: Run theDSWC.v3.1.1.install-on-.bin<br />

command from the root path where you unzipped the image.<br />

2. The splash screen opens. Select a language, if applicable, and then click OK to<br />

continue <strong>with</strong> the installation.<br />

3. The Welcome screen opens. Close all other applications and click Next.<br />

4. Accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next to continue.<br />

5. Select Install a new product to install the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console as shown in Figure<br />

1.24. You can select a directory of your choice, or you can use the default installation<br />

directory. Click Next.
