Capacity Selection for Regenerative Resistors
SERVOPACK Models SGD7S-3R8A, -5R5A, -7R6A, -120A, -180A,
-200A, -330A, -470A, -550A, -590A, and -780A; SGD7W-1R6A, -2R8A, -
5R5A, and -7R6A
The above SERVOPACKs require regenerative resistors. Regenerative resistors are built into all of
the SERVOPACKs in advance except for the SGD7S-470A, -550A, -590A, and -780A. If you use the
SGD7S-470A, -550A, -590A, or -780A, always provide an external regenerative resistor. Refer to
the following section for details.
Selection Table (page 441)
The allowable frequencies for regenerative operation of the Servomotor without a load in acceleration/deceleration
operation during an operation cycle from 0 (min -1 ) to the maximum motor speed
and back to 0, are listed below. For the SGD7S-470A, -550A, -590A, and -780A, the allowable frequencies
are given for when a Regenerative Resistor Unit is connected. Refer to the following section
for details on Regenerative Resistor Units.
