3 �our breaking points per pole with double break system helps faster quenching of arc. Knife type contact system with self wipe feature cleans the contact automatically during every closing or opening operation. Silver plated copper gives better current carrying capacity. Electrodynamic compensation: The contact system is designed to generate very high electrodynamic force to counteract the repulsive force produced during short circuit / fault condition. This result in automatic increase in contact pressure with increase in fault current. 3/23 CONTACT SYSTEM Innovative design of contact system ensures high electrical life : Separate arcing and current carrying zones. This ensures that current carrying zone will remain unaffected during arcing. This enhances the electrical life of the switch. �ixed contacts are integral part of the terminals. No joint between the terminal and the fixed contact results into low watt loss which results into less temperature rise. �G offers one of the lowest temperature rise in the terminals if connected properly. Deion plates are provided for effective arc quenching. High contact pressure : better thermal rating. Robust and efficient mechanism provides greater reliability and safety to operator: Positive break-forced opening of contacts: In case of contact welding handle cannot be taken to the O�� position without forcefully opening the contacts. Ensures safety of the operator by eliminating chances of wrong indication. Quick make and quick break mechanism: The opening & closing of the contacts are independent of the speed of actuation. The contacts made or part almost instantly independent of the speed of operation Innovative design reduces the torque requirement: The torque required to close or open the switch is considerably low.
