INTRODUCTION : MOTOR PROTECTION CIRCUIT BREAKER
L & T, India’s largest manufacturer of low tension switch gear, introduces Motor Protection
Circuit Breakers (MPCBs) for comprehensive protection and control of low tension motors.
MPCBs combine the function of a switch, a short circuit protective device and an overload
relay. Designed to international standards, their compact size offers OEMs and panel
builders multiple advantages in installation and operation. These MPCBs are also provided
with a large number of accessories for various applications.
MINI UNITS MEGA BENEITS
L&T’s Motor Protection Circuit Breakers type MG1 and MG2 are small in size but big in performance. They have high
making and breaking capacities.
The design features offer a range of advantages :
✦ Compact size saves panel space.
✦ Ambient temperature compensation eliminates need for constant current-setting re-adjustment.
✦ Double slide mechanism ensures faster tripping during single phasing in the circuit.
✦ Technical data of circuit breaker can be read easily when circuit breaker is in mounted position.
✦ Unambiguous front ON/O indication.
✦ Similar design concept for both circuit breakers facilitates handling.
✦ Identical accessories reduce stock levels.
✦ In-built DIN rail mounting facility makes it suitable for snap fit mounting on 35mm section rail.
