Preferred Option 4A
Land identified for education, health, community or cultural uses by the relevant
providers will be protected from development for alternative uses through the
new Local Development Plan.
Reason
The Council seeks to bring forward policies that contribute to improving health
and wellbeing (in keeping with regional policy set out in the RDS 2035 and SPPS)
such as those which promote social cohesion and allocate sufficient land for the
appropriate provision of education, health, community and cultural infrastructure
for local communities.
