Chapter 9: Tracking Information Quickly and Effectively with Office Access 2007 139
Using Layout View to See Immediate Changes
Layout View is a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) view that enables you to make
changes to a form or report and immediately see the effects of your changes. If necessary,
change to Layout View by clicking the View control and choosing Layout View. The elements
in the data table or form become selectable—you can drag and drop them to new locations on
the page, edit the content and placement of labels and field names, and change the format and
spacing of headers, row dividers, logos, and more (see Figure 9-10).
Layout View enables you to make and view changes in your report or form.
New Split Form View
Now you can work with both your data and a form open on your screen at the same
time. When you click Split Form in the Insert tab, Office Access 2007 displays a form in
the lower portion of Layout View. You can enter information in the form and it is automatically
added to the table in the top portion of the window.

Hooray! Your file is uploaded and ready to be published.
