Ultra FoamMix Cube<br />

Description<br />

The patented Ultra FoamMix System produces closedcell<br />

foam from a variety of flowable sealants. It allows<br />

manual or automated application to components<br />

with repeatable performance, eliminating the need<br />

for die-cut <strong>and</strong> foam-tape gaskets. The system mixes<br />

sealant materials or adhesives with low-pressure inert<br />

gas or plant air to produce a homogeneous mixture<br />

that creates a closed-cell foam when dispensed. The<br />

system processes <strong>and</strong> dispenses high-performance<br />

materials, including silicones, urethanes <strong>and</strong> plastisols<br />

at elevated or ambient temperatures. Because chemicals<br />

are not used, material composition remains unchanged.<br />

Foamed materials retain basic physical properties such<br />

as temperature <strong>and</strong> chemical resistance.<br />

In bonding applications the Ultra FoamMix system<br />

dramatically improves the performance of most hot<br />

melt materials <strong>and</strong> provides significant material savings<br />

at the same time.<br />

Straight-forward PLC controls use a user-friendly<br />

touch-screen programmed to display <strong>and</strong> operate in<br />

local languages. The controller can be cart mounted<br />

so it can be positioned or moved as needed within the<br />

10-meter cable length. And, the Ultra FoamMix PLC<br />

integrates system components like VDK applicators<br />

<strong>and</strong> material supply systems. A st<strong>and</strong>ard Ethernet<br />

connection is used for communication to simplify<br />

worldwide troubleshooting <strong>and</strong> technical support.<br />

Gas content of foamed materials can be adjusted<br />

to control mechanical properties such as material<br />

durometer, compression set resistance <strong>and</strong> flexibility.<br />
