Im Jahr 2001 erwarb die Hoteliersfamilie Holleis aus Zell am<br />
See das Grundstück mit der Ruine der Villa Neptun in<br />
Opatija (Abbazia) und zählte damals zu den ersten<br />
Unternehmern der EU, die risikobereit in den kroatischen<br />
Küstentourismus investierten. Familie Holleis schuf in der<br />
kroatischen Region Kvarner das Adria-Relax-Resort Miramar<br />
im legendären Seebad der österreichisch-ungarischen<br />
Monarchie, das heuer vor genau 130 Jahren offiziell per<br />
kaiserlichem Dekret zum heilklimatischen Luftkurort ernannt<br />
wurde. Heute knüpft Opatija wieder genau dort an seine<br />
Glanzzeiten an: mit der begünstigten Lage zwischen<br />
Mitteleuropa und dem Mittelmeerraum, so nahe bei<br />
Österreich, der wunderbaren Naturlandschaft und den<br />
prachtvollen architektonischen Zeitzeugen<br />
Das Adria-Relax-Resort Miramar ist direkt am Meer, am<br />
12 km langen Uferpromenadenweg „Lungomare“, gelegen.<br />
Gerade die Ausrichtung auf „Hotel plus Mehrwert“ – mit<br />
zusätzlichen Angeboten wie u.a. Wochen mit Yoga- und<br />

In the year 2001, the hotelier family Holleis from Zell am<br />
See acquired the piece of real estate that harboured the<br />
ruins of the Neptune Villa in Opatija, making it one of the<br />
first companies in the EU that took the risk of investing in<br />
the Croatian coastal tourism sector. In the Croatian Kvarner<br />
region, the Holleis family created the Adria-Relax-Resort<br />
Miramar in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy’s legendaryIseaside<br />
resort, which had – via an official Imperial decree<br />
– been declared a climatic health resort exactly 130 years<br />
ago. Today, Opatija is returning to the status it enjoyed<br />
during its golden age: with the highly favourable location<br />
between Central Europe and the Mediterranean, its vicinity<br />
to Austria, the brilliant natural landscape and the<br />
magnificent architectural legacy of the past.<br />
The Adria-Relax-Resort Miramar is located right by the sea,<br />
along the 12-kilometre-long “Lungomare” waterside<br />
promenade. It is especially the hotel’s “hotel plus extras”<br />
approach – with additional offers, such as, among other<br />
things, yoga and dance courses, as well as top-notch culture<br />
and literature events – that guests value and now like to<br />
refer to as Miramar-typical. In that way, the hotel was able<br />
to gain the trust of many regular visitors, including<br />
celebrities, who appreciate the fact that they can spend<br />
