skillful and quick too, not just some plodding dummy who can
knock something down only if it stands still. I'll go with
Holyfield, whom I place in the top ten of all time great heavyweights. He'll
be in shape, he'll have a good plan, Toney can't show anything
Evander hasn't seen, and unless the monkey is the fourth man
in the ring, he should win.|
I remember reading Sonny felt sorry for the guy and didn't even want to hit him
anymore...Also I think it was the fight Sly Stallone went to and got the idea
for his Rocky movie.|
should quit ! If he does'nt quit, he'll go to the holy field. Anyway, I think
and hope he will beat Toney easily. A man who gave Tyson a beating and fought
toe to toe with Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bowe shouldn't have problems with
Toney. If he'll lose, a lot of myths are gonna fall...Do you know who is the
strongest man in the wordl ( apart me, of course): his name is Calvin Lane, he
is a bouncer in a Dallas's night club. He is 7'5"1/2 tall, he weights about
400lbs, he wears a 25EEE size shoe and he has a black belt in karate. I'd have
problems with him even with a bazooka. In comparison with this guy Shaq becomes
small, the Big Show becomes the Small Show and Andre the Giant becomes Andre the
Midget. Even Bruce Lee, at his best, would have lost against this guy !|
very much. You have just 1 big flaw: the possibility to be released on bail !!!!
The country forgives you if you can pay !!!!!! It's a monstruosity ! Don't you
agree ?We in Italy have a few little flaws too: MAFIA,CAMORRA etc. Tim
Duncan, we are gonna whip you ! Go Shaq go !|
in the club where Calvin Lane is a bouncer, I think I'll behave myself.|
Liston-Wepner fight took place on 6/29/70 was Liston's last fight. According to
popular rumor Liston did not clear any money for that fight as he had bet it all
on Mac Foster to defeat Jerry Quarry (and Quarry won). Liston quit with a record
of 50-4. |
|9/11/03 08:45:47 AM|Angelo|Washington, DC||funktron@yahoo.com||||10|Did Liston
retire officially, or did he die before really quitting?|
|9/11/03 09:02:11 AM|John Gerard|NYC||rock289z@yahoo.com||||10|ANGELO: He died
before quitting. I think he was still in the top ten when he died. His loss to
Leotis Martin really ended any hampionship hopes he had. He is buried in Las
Vegas.|
drug overdose, which seemed strange to those who knew him, since he wasn't a
user. Some have suggested mob involvement. If this is true, the only problem I'd
see would be the number of people they'd have had to have sent to his house to
subdue him! In his union head busting days, Sonny once took five guys in the
street, at the same time, and these weren't Pee Wee Hermans
either.Massimo -I hope Holyfield gets out. Sure, he likes doing what
he does, but he has plenty of money, and it has to end some time. Why not now,
before he ends up like Ali? He still could, since many problems can appear
years after a career is over, but at least he doesn't show many obvious signs of
injury at this time.My husband met the famous "Tiny" at Gilley's, in
Pasadena, Texas, years ago. He said Tiny had more scar tissue on his face than a
bad boxer who never learned to keep his hands up. Anyway, Tiny's nothing
compared to this guy you mention. The biggest bouncer I ever saw was one at a
place called Mother's in the club district in Chicago - he was 6'8" and weighed
close to 300. I read where Andre the Giant once drank 124 beers in one night,
and could pick up the back end of a car. Even he's smaller than your man! LOL!|
