I'm ready to admit that Mosley COULD have beaten Oscar last week, but last
night's fight between Byrd and Oquendo didn't seem close to me at all. I thought
Fres had it by about an 8-4 margin. Do I need to start following golf, where
there are no decisions?|
|9/21/03 05:12:55 PM|Kent|La Habra, Ca||kentallenent@aol.com||||10|I saw the
Byrd/Oquendo fight twice last night. The frist time on regular HBO and the
second on a replay in Spanish on another HBO channel and since my Spanish is not
good enough to keep up with the announcers, I had a different perspective the
second time. I thought Oquendo was the winner when I heard the english
broadcast but I called it a draw the second time being unable to tell if the
announcers had bias one way or the other. The second time around I thought
neither man deserved to win. It was a lousy fight.Massimo, I am not
sure who would win between Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bowe, prime agaisnt prime.
It could have gone either way.|
scored it117-111 ? Sometimes there is injustice even when there isn't
money involved, but whenthere is...... Much more.....|
Rogain maybe. Sonya, you'd be happier with a guy that looks like Woody Allen,
like you have some backround in medicine or the sciences.Wouldn,t it be great if
they had a ergonometer to measure the actual ft/ft/lbs.psi times velocity
squared,blah,blah,blah,to measure actual punching power?How about sharp,high
velocity vs just plain heavy armed punches?I would catorize Quarry's,and
Ali's,and PATTERSON'S punches as sharp.I consider Foreman's,Lyle's,Marciano's,to
be typically heavy.Joe Frazeir's,and, I think,surprisingly,Ken Norton's,where a
delightfull combo. of the two. |
Bumbera, formally of the garden state of N.J.I didn't mean I thought Shaver's was
that good.I expressed myself poorly.I actually didn't think Shavers was much of
a fighter,aside from that that huge,but very wide right hand.I still don't
understand why you are living in N.C. when you could be living in scenic N.J.?
I also was a competitive teenage power lifter in the early seventies.I
specialized in the squat, dead lift, and bench press, and I too have stretch marks
in the upper pectoral-deltoid tie-in.I also have them in the rear
deltoid/trapazoid tie-in.I also seem to be developing them around my propensity
for run on sentences. |
|9/21/03 09:29:24 PM|Steve|N'J.||drmsrm@comcast.net||||10|Hey Bob,I lied on my
last post.I was a teenager when I started power lifting, but a much more mature
lifter in his early twenties in the early seventies.where I still got blown out
by more mature lifters in their thirties and forties.Hey R.S.,I am surprised at
how many people on this site give so little credit to Joe Frazeir! If you go back
and review his old fight films, there amazing! This guy fought like a machine. He
was constant, tireless, and relentless.Remember the theme song from the
movie,"Jaws"!They should play that music in accompanyment to all his fight
films!'''''''''''''Jaws|
