rod-like basal shoots, hairy when young; leaves are elliptical<br />

remaining on plant till spring depending on the habitat; flowers<br />

are white, fragrant, carried on up to 15 cm long, upright, hairy<br />

and dense racemes, appearing in May till July – a shrub that<br />

should be given more attention due to its flowers, its spectacular<br />
