____ A slow growing, hardly over 1 m tall, evergreen shrub with<br />

branches that stick out and bending towards the ground; leaves<br />

shiny green; golden yellow flowers appearing in May/June - a<br />

specially attractive and hardy Barberry. R, St, Z. Zone 6a.<br />

vulgaris - Common Barberry<br />

____ A deciduous shrub, up to 2 m tall; foliage dark green; flowers<br />

yellow in hanging racemes appearing in May; fruits in October,<br />

blood-red, up to <strong>12</strong> mm long - medium-sized shrub that flowers<br />
