____ A small, 6 to 8 m tall, broadly growing tree, with corkscrew-like
branches and shoots, very bizarre yet interesting looking; shoots
with yellow-green bark; leaves narrowly lanceolate, twisted spirally
- as specimen, for large troughs, for wreaths and bouquets.

purpurea ´Nana´ (= ´Gracilis´) - Dwarf Purple Willow
____ A low, up to 100 cm tall shrub, with numerous slender shoots,
building a dense, semi-rounded bush; leaves silvery-grey, narrowly
lanceolate - an undemanding willow, tolerant to salinity,
suitable for low hedges and mass planting, valuable for wreaths
and bouquets; was awarded `Excellent` during the federal cultivar
trials in Germany in 1992. B, H, St, Z. Zone 5a.
repens nitida (= arenaria, argentea, repens ssp. argentea) - var nitida
____ Up to 80 cm tall willow with a creeping growing habit, dense,
almost erect branches and shoots covered with white, grey
felt; leaves broadly elliptic and covered with white-grey hairs -
a dwarf willow, tolerant to drought, suitable for mass planting
in the dunes or dry embankments; was awarded „Very Good
„ during the federal cultivar trials in Germany in 1992. B, D, Z.

rosmarinifolia (= repens var. rosmarinifolia, sibirica) -
____ 0.2 to 1 m tall small shrub with low-growing, small stems and
upright-growing branches; shoots thin, flexible, rooting easily;
leaves opposite, linear to lanceolate, up to 5 cm long, dark green
above, on the lower surface covered with greyish and silky hairs;
flowers borne in egg-shaped catkins, male catkins yellow, April/
May - suitable as specimen or for planting in groups or for mass
planting; moist, humus as well as dry soils. B, K, Z. Zone 5a.
sachalinensis ´Sekka´ (= udensis ´Sekka´, ´Setsuka´, sachalinensis f. ligulata) -
____ About 4 m tall, very broad and loose-growing shrub with winding
branches; fasciated shoot ends with up to 5 cm wide bands,
that are covered densely with small, silvery catkins - a bizarre,
unconventional shrub, with shoots that can be effectively used
in vases. S. Zone 5b.
