____ Male cultivar; medium fast growing with upright growing habit;
sturdy branches are almost thornless; leaves are striking slender
lanceolated, dark green above and silver green below; flowering
period is March to April; seedling offspring from Leikora, brought
into trade in 1989 by H.-J. Albrecht, Berlin. A pollinator for Hergo
and Leikora. The proper arrangement of pollinators is recommended
in commercial plantations. D, H, St. Zone 4.

____ A rather robust cultivar with columnar growing habit, only slightly
thorny, and few root runners; hybrid by H.-J. ALBRECHT, Berlin,
originating out of a cross between a Siberian cultivar and H. r.
Pollmix; fruits large (100 fruits = 52 g), longish oval to cylindrical,
silver-grey scales found only at the tip, red-orange, pleasantly
sweet, fruit stalks rather long, allowing easy picking, ripening
end July to early August. A cultivar that is highly recommended
for private gardens due to its fruit colours, pleasant taste and
early ripeness. D, H, St. Zone 4. Under federal protection SAN

____ A large, upright shrub or small tree with wide-growing branches;
leaves dull darkgreen turning purplish-brown in autumn with light
greyish-green underneath; flowers silvery white, very large, appearing
end of April or beginning of May; numerous red fruits turning
dark purple when ripe from the beginning of July, especially
tasty - a sturdy and fruitful flowering shrub with beautiful autumn
colours which grows in all garden soils and which fruits are also
called “natural pralines”. D, H, R, S, St. Zone 5b.
