scopulorum ´Blue Arrow´ (= virginiana ´Blue Arrow´) -<br />
____ Having similar growing form as J. scopulorum ´Skyrocket´, but<br />
surpasses in its stronger bluish-coloured foliage, a much more<br />
compact growing habit (no breaking of axillary branches), suffer<br />
less under pressure from snow as well as from die-back that<br />
attack most junipers - a valuable newcomer. D, K, R, S, St. Zone<br />

____ Growing at least 4 m tall, with an especially narrow, pillar-like<br />
growing habit and strictly upright branches that lie close to one<br />
another; foliage vivid bluish-green - one of the narrowest-growing<br />
and pillar-like conifers, a good substitute of the real cypresses<br />
of the mediterranean region for the Northern Hemisphere.<br />

squamata ´Blue Carpet´ - Blue Carpet Juniper<br />
____ Resulted from a shoot mutation of ´Meyeri´, growing very flat<br />
and spreading, hardly more than 30 cm in height; leaves needlelike,<br />
bluish-white - a noble, strong-growing ground cover for sunny<br />
to semi-shady positions: a Gold Medallion award winner at<br />
the Flora-Nova in Boskoop in 1976. B, K, St, Z. Zone 5b.<br />
squamata ´Blue Star´ - Blue Star Juniper<br />
____ A very slow-growing, densely-branched dwarf cultivar, resulted<br />
from a witches´ broom of ´Meyeri´, and showing the similar striking,<br />
bluish-white colours of its foliage - a valuable dwarf cultivar<br />
for planting on graves or troughs or for rock gardens. K, St, Z.<br />

squamata ´Meyeri´ - Meyeri Juniper<br />
____ A well-known cultivar, with dense branches especially when<br />
young, reaching 3 to 5 m tall when older, and must be kept compact<br />
through timely pruning - a popular and widely used woody<br />
plant due to its striking, bluish-white foliage. K, R, St. Zone 5b.<br />
