2. Las Niñas Dam
Situated in the municipality of Tejeda, next to the Arguineguín ravine, is the
most popular reservoir for tourists and islanders alike. Indeed, it is the favourite
destination for a day out with family or friends and a superb natural camping
site, although permission to stay overnight needs to be obtained from the
Cabildo de Gran Canaria.
At this charming spot, visitors can enjoy a pleasant bathe in fresh water, wallow
in the natural surroundings and look up at the stars at nightfall, making
the dam an unrivalled natural setting.

2. Presa de las Niñas
Situada en el municipio de Tejeda, junto al barranco de Arguineguín, se encuentra
el embalse más popular entre los turistas e isleños. De hecho, es el
destino favorito para disfrutar del ocio en familia o amigos y realizar acampadas
en plena naturaleza, aunque para ello debes solicitar su autorización al
Cabildo de Gran Canaria.
En este encantador rincón puedes disfrutar de un agradable baño en agua
dulce, observar la naturaleza de los alrededores y contemplar las estrellas al
anochecer, lo que convierte a la presa en un entorno natural inimitable.
3. Soria Dam
This dam is also located to the south
of the island, specifically in the Arguineguín
ravine, between Mogán
and San Bartolomé de Tirajana. One of
the most outstanding features of the
Soria dam is the fact it is the largest
one on the island, and that fact it has
never been full.
As for the surrounding area, we would
point out that it is an ideal spot for hiking,
as it has several different routes
that lead the above mentioned dams
at Chira and Las Niñas. In addition,
we recommend you go to the Soria
waterfall, where you can watch water
freely flowing in a calm and peaceful
setting.
3. Presa de Soria
También se encuentra en el sur isleño,
concretamente en el barranco
de Arguineguín, entre Mogán y San
Bartolomé de Tirajana. Como dato a
destacar, la presa de Soria es la presa
grancanaria más grande y nunca se
ha llenado por completo.

En cuanto a sus alrededores, nos atrevemos
a afirmar que se alzan como un
lugar idóneo para practicar senderismo,
pues dispone de varias rutas con
destino a las ya mencionadas presas
de Chira o Las Niñas. Además, te recomendamos
visitar la cascada de Soria,
donde puedes observar fluir el agua
en un ambiente sereno y apacible.
