Introduction
Background
The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) has been organizing an ‘Architect
Expo’ to promote the profession of architecture since 1986. Held annually, with the exception of 1990,
the expo took place over 31 times, welcoming the average of 400 thousand visitors a year. This 2022,
with the objectives stated below, ASA executive committee of 2020-2022 has agreed to organize the
34 th expo under the name ‘Architect Expo’22’ between Tuesday, April 26 – Sunday, May 1, 2022, at
Challenger Hall, Exhibition and Convention Center, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Chaengwattana Road,
Banmai Sub-district, Pakkred District, Nonthaburi.
ARCHITECT EXPO’22’S THEME:
CO - WITH CREATORS
Coexistence has long been with living creatures through coevolution. Cross-bred creatures adapt to
live in symbiosis. Plants develop their particular shapes, colors, and tastes, to attract pollinators; while
insects and animals optimize their physiques for crops harvesting. Coexistence is based on sustaining
mutual benefits, just like how pollinated flowers are able to continue to grow, while bee families are
able to afford honey for the rest of their life cycles.

Objectives
1. Act as a platform for promoting and publicizing professional architecture works and ASA’s activities.
2. Act as a hub for exhibiting building materials, gathering information and educating the public on
relevant innovation and technology.
3. Promote the profession of architecture among ASA members as well as the society’s; Deliver
academic services to students as well as public members.
Architect Expo’22 exhibits architectural design works that center on the concept of ‘coexistence’ as a
theme. Inspired by the concept, many modern design works are the results of ‘co-creation’ between
professions. Co-creating with landscape architects, artists, lighting designers, fashion designers,
photographers, and designers from other fields, offers dimensions to architectural works through
fresh and different ideas. In addition, Architect Expo’22 also acts as a platform for understanding the
coexistence and co-creation between architects and non-designer creators of other fields, such as
doctors, software developers, chefs, agriculturists, astronauts, biologists, monks, etc. The expo aims
to showcase how co-designing between professions can be done for mutual benefits.
True to theme, Architect Expo’22 is, for the first time, presided over by three presidents from three
different regions. A testament to the concept of ‘coexistence’, three presidents organizing the expo
together shows how any architects can co-create, regardless of regions.
