No matter how devastated or disruptive the global crisis such as COVID-19 has made
our lives, one of the things that I think we get back in return is how considering and
collaborative we have become as a community.
How collaborative? you may ask.

It is pretty obvious that there are certain activities that we still cannot do, at least not
at the level of convenience we once could. Buying food is one of the many examples.
We used to be able to go out and enjoy a meal and our time together without having
to worry about anything. Once the pandemic hit, we have bec ome more reliant on
the food delivery people or riders who pick up and deliver our meals right to our door.
Over time, we gradually learn to adapt to this new scenario we are forced to be in
before gradually turning it into something we could find actually enjoy doing.
Familiarity in a situation ultimately turns an inconvenience into a form of
happiness, as we learn our part as both the giver and receiver. Through these
circumstances, we have come to realize the significance of how we rely on and
collaborate with each other in order to survive.How great would it be if this notion of
‘collaboration’ and ‘reliance’ were discussed within the creative sector? Although,
architecture, by nature, is a result of collaboration, whether it be by intention or as
a consequence that a certain process or method delivers.
Architect’22 is hoped to be chance for new frontiers to be opened, allowing creative
individuals to come together, and the people who are interested in the use of
creativity to navigate different possibilities to improve their personal ways of living
as well as businesses. We sincerely wish through ‘collaboration and reliance,’ everyone
can find ways to further develop their professional ability and potential.
