Four cutout block diagrams are provided at the end of this manual for additional practice and to help you visualize

structures in three dimensions. Cut and fold the diagrams as indicated, and use tape to hold the tabs together to make

three- dimensional block diagrams.

(a) Complete the blank cross-section faces for Block 1 and describe the structure present. Does the block show

horizontal or tilted strata? Folds? Faults?

(b) Complete the map view and blank cross-section faces for Blocks 2 and 3. Compare and contrast the structures in

these two blocks.
