This price is comparable with a Metro ticket for the same route as described in the next section. Season tickets are available from Northern Rail, although Nexus tickets (marketed as Network Travel Tickets) ickets) could potentially be cheaper for some users as they allow travel by more than one public transport mode. By Metro First Train arriving to / departing from Sunderland Metro services call at Sunderland train station and also serve additional stations in Sunderl Sunderland, which includes University (pictured) and Park Lane. The closest Metro station to the City Campus is University, which is a short walk from the Murray Library and Technology Park and the main campus areas areas. The University Metro station has seating on each platform, offers 5 Sheffield cycle stands and has a help / information point on each platform. The Park Lane Metro is staffed on a temporary basis and has seating, an information point and telephones on both platforms.
