es “verbal fabnic, rather tian a message in code» (SEP, 361>.
Filosóficamente, Davie concede que “we cant any longer suppose, naÍveiy, that
a fact gets into a poem as soon as it is named there. For a fact, and the name of
that fact, are different; and it is only the name, not the thing named, that Es at horne
in the verbal universe that is a poem” (SEP, 338>. Sin embargo, el fundamento de
la poética poundiana es el racionalismo naturalista. El arte (téchne) se inscribe
en natura (physis>: “For human building (art> and the processes of germination
(nature) are not in this vision opposed, as alternatives we must choose between.
The ene mirrors the other, and is neurished by the other. To build is as natural as
te procreate”
