Estos factores constituy<strong>en</strong> lo que Bousoño [1985, II: 86] llama<br />

“modificantes extrínsecos’, o sea, “cre<strong>en</strong>cias, opiniones, saberes nuestros<br />

sobre el mundo’, modificantes, <strong>en</strong> este caso, de la poesía de The Movem<strong>en</strong>t.<br />

Dichos modificantes extrínsecos, a su vez, se reflejan <strong>en</strong> unos<br />

procedimi<strong>en</strong>tos intrínsecos, “moldeami<strong>en</strong>tos expresivos’ referidos a la ley de la<br />

“individualización de un cont<strong>en</strong>ido psíquico [Bousoño, 1985, 1: 90-131], o ley<br />

intrínseca de la poesía. Davie, como teórico de The Movem<strong>en</strong>t, expone dichos<br />

procedimi<strong>en</strong>tos <strong>en</strong> sus libros críticos fundantes, Purh’y of Diction in EngI¡sh<br />

Verse (1952) y Articulate Energy. An Inquiry into the Syntax of English Poetry<br />

(1955). El propio Davie, <strong>en</strong> su “Foreword to the 1992 Edition” a la edición<br />

conjunta de POD y AE, reconoce la historicidad de dichos libros y su carácter<br />

de reacción fr<strong>en</strong>te a la poética moderna:<br />

- is the flag that flaw, and 1 think still fijes, ovar both Ihese books.<br />
