el tramo del jardín del Turia, obra del arquitecto Ricardo Bofill.
Opening hours: 10.30-13.30 h.17.30-21 h. It is the work of architect
José María de Paredes and was inaugurated in 1987. One of the
most important music centres in the country. Its main façade looks
out onto the stretch of garden in the Turia designed by architect
Ricardo Bofill.
PLAZA DE TOROS / BULLRING
Xàtiva, 28. Cuenta con un tendido de 24 gradas. Las principales
corridas se celebran en Fallas y en la Feria de Julio. Its stands have
24 tiers. The main bullfights take place during Fallas (March) and
at the July Fair.
PLAZA REDONDA/ ROUND SqUARE
Confluencia calles Pescadería, Vallanca y Síndico. Es obra de Salvador
Escrig, conocida popularmente como «el clot», (el agujero),
es una de las plazas más curiosas y típicas de puestos. It is the
work of Salvador Escrig and is popularly known as ‘el clot’ (the
hole). It is one of the most curious and typical places of Valencia.
It has a central fountain surrounded by many stalls.

Catedral
Mercado Central
muralla musulmana, su abertura forma un arco de medio punto.
Restaurado en 1965. It was an ancient entrance gate into medieval
Valencia, an area settled by noble families. Built over the Moslem
wall, its opening forms an arch. It was restored in 1965.

h. Entrada 2 €. Arquitectura gótica. Se iniciaron en 1392. En 1865
se derriban las murallas pero quedan exentas. Durante una época
fueron utilizadas como cárcel de nobles. Opening hours: From 10
to 14 h and from 16.30 to 20:30 h. Sunday and holidays from 10
to 14 h. Entrance price 2 €. Gothic architecture. Construction work
began in 1392. The walls were demolished in 1865 and the towers
are isolated. For a time they were used as a prison for nobles.
TORRES DE QUART / qUART TOWERS
Guillem de Castro, 89. Construcción militar del gótico tardío. Se
proyectaron como torres defensoras de la ciudad, y hasta 1874 se
llamaron Torres de Cal, pues en el s. XVIII se exigía cal a quien pasara
por allí. Late Gothic military construction. They were planned
as defensive towers, and until 1874 they were known as the Torres
de Cal because during the 18th century a payment of lime was
demanded from everyone who passed through.
