CAtHEDrALE SAint-PAUL & LE trESor

Fondée au Xe s., la collégiale Saint-Paul devint au XIXe s. la nouvelle cathédrale
de Liège en remplacement de la cathédrale Saint-Lambert détruite à la Révolution
liégeoise.
Le Trésor de la cathédrale présente un parcours de visite à travers l’art et
l’histoire de l’ancienne Principauté de Liège : orfèvreries, ivoires, manuscrits,
sculptures, peintures et collections de textiles
Die Stiftskirche Saint-Paul aus dem 10. Jh. wurde im 19. Jh. zur neuen Kathedrale
von Lüttich erhoben und ersetzte die Kathedrale Saint-Lambert, die während
der französischen Revolution zerstört wurde.
Die Schatzkammer der Kathedrale bietet einen Besichtigungsrundgang durch
die Kunst und Geschichte des ehemaligen Fürstbistums Lüttich: Goldschmiedearbeiten,
Elfenbein, Manuskripte, Skulpturen, Gemälde und Textilsammlungen.

Musée
De Sint-Paulus Kapittelkerk, gesticht in de 10de eeuw, werd de nieuwe kathedraal
van Luik in de 19de eeuw, ter vervanging van de Saint-Lambert kathedraal
verwoest in de dagen van de van Luikse revolutie.
De Schat van de Kathedraal presenteert bezoekers met een uitlegparcours over
kunst en geschiedenis in het voormalige Prinsdom Luik: goudsmeden, ivoor,
manuscripten, beeldhouwwerken, schilderijen en collecties van textiel.
The Collegiate Church of St. Paul, founded in the 10th century, became the new
cathedral of Liège, replacing the Saint-Lambert cathedral which was destroyed
in the days of the Liège revolution.
The Cathedral Treasure presents a series of visual displays featuring the art and
history of the ancient Principality of Liège: silver and goldsmith work, ivory,
manuscripts, sculptures, paintings and collections of textiles.
