Employee BenefitsPerusahaan dan Anak perusahaanmenerapkan PSAK No. 24 (Revisi 2004),“Imbalan Kerja” (“PSAK 24 Revisi”) untukmenentukan kewajiban imbalan kerja sesuaidengan Undang-undang KetenagakerjaanNo. 13/2003 (“Undang-undang”) tanggal25 Maret 2003. Sesuai PSAK 24 Revisi, bebanimbalan kerja berdasarkan Undang-undangditentukan dengan menggunakan metodeaktuarial “Projected Unit Credit”. Keuntunganatau kerugian aktuarial diakui sebagaipendapatan atau beban apabila akumulasikeuntungan atau kerugian aktuarial bersihyang belum diakui pada akhir tahun pelaporansebelumnya melebihi jumlah yang lebih besardiantara 10% dari nilai kini imbalan pasti dan10% dari nilai wajar aset program padatanggal neraca. Keuntungan atau kerugiandiakui atas dasar metode garis lurus selamarata-rata sisa masa kerja karyawan yangdiharapkan. Beban jasa lalu yang terjadi ketikamemperkenalkan program imbalan pasti ataumengubah imbalan terhutang pada programimbalan pasti yang ada, diamortisasi selamaperiode sampai imbalan tersebut menjadi hak.Perusahaan dan Anak perusahaan tertentuyang berdomisili di Indonesiamenyelenggarakan program pensiun manfaatpasti untuk seluruh karyawan tetapyang memenuhi syarat. Kewajiban menurutUndang-undang dihitung denganmembandingkan imbalan yang akan diterimaoleh karyawan pada usia pensiun normalmelalui program pensiun dengan imbalanyang dihitung berdasarkan Undang-undangsetelah dikurangi akumulasi iuran karyawandan hasil pengembangannya. Jika bagianiuran yang didanai Perusahaan dan Anakperusahaan melalui program pensiun kurangdari imbalan yang diwajibkan menurutUndang-undang, Perusahaan dan Anakperusahaan akan melakukan penyisihan ataskekurangannya.The Company and its Subsidiaries adoptedPSAK No. 24 (Revised 2004) on “EmployeeBenefits” (“Revised PSAK 24”) to determinetheir employee benefits obligation under theLabor Law No. 13/2003 dated March 25,2003 (“the Law”). Under Revised PSAK 24,the cost of employee benefits based on theLaw is determined using the “Projected UnitCredit” actuarial valuation method. Actuarialgains or losses are recognized as income orexpense when the net cumulativeunrecognized actuarial gains and losses atthe end of the previous reporting yearexceeded the higher of 10% of the definedbenefit obligation and 10% of the fair value ofplan assets at that date. These gains orlosses are recognized on a straight-line basismethod over the expected average remainingworking lives of the employees. Past-servicecost arising from the introduction of a definedbenefit plan or changes in the benefitsobligation of an existing plan are required tobe amortized over the period until the benefitsconcerned become vested.The Company and certain domesticSubsidiaries domiciled in Indonesia havedefined retirement benefit plans, coveringsubstantially all of their eligible permanentemployees. The obligation for the Law hasbeen calculated by comparing the benefit thatwill be received by an employee at normalpension age from the pension plan with thebenefit as stipulated under the Law afterdeduction of accumulation of employeecontribution and the related investmentresults. If the employer funded portion of thepension plan benefit is less than the benefitas required by the Law, the Company andSubsidiaries will provide for such shortage.35
