De herstructureringskosten zijn voornamelijk het gevolg van de
overgenomen activiteiten van de voormalige Dohmen Solutions Groep.
De post ‘Overige’ bestaat hoofdzakelijk uit nagekomen kosten met
betrekking tot 2009 waarvoor geen voorziening was opgenomen per
31 december 2009.
De bijzondere waardeverminderingsverliezen in 2009 hebben betrekking
op de afwaardering van de zelfontwikkelde software in het Verenigd
Koninkrijk (EUR 0,7 miljoen), de afwaardering van de goodwill betaald
bij de acquisitie van docdata e-business GmbH en Docdata Distributie
Services GmbH (per 31 december 2009 genaamd Pegasus Mail GmbH)
in Münster, Duitsland (EUR 0,7 miljoen) en de afwaardering van de
geassocieerde deelnemingen Courtwalk GmbH (EUR 3 duizend) en
Anything Left Handed Ltd. in Belmonth, Verenigd Koninkrijk (EUR 56
duizend). In 2010 heeft de Groep haar belang van 11% in Courtwalk
GmbH in Münster (Duitsland) verkocht voor EUR 1.
De aanpassing naar de reële waarde in 2009 betreft de volledige
afschrijving van de resterende media replicatieactiviteiten in Berlijn,
Duitsland (EUR 942 duizend). Op 21 juli 2010 zijn alle aandelen in
docdata media GmbH verkocht.
De dotatie aan voorzieningen in 2009 heeft hoofdzakelijk betrekking
op nog in 2010 te verrekenen bedragen.
De Groep heeft in 2009 en 2010 kosten gemaakt voor onderzoek
en ontwikkeling, hoofdzakelijk voor de ontwikkeling van de nieuwe
activiteiten van technologiebedrijf IAI industrial systems op het
gebied van zonne-technologie, alsmede de verdere ontwikkeling van
de bestaande technologie op het gebied van documentbeveiliging.
Deze kosten voor onderzoek en ontwikkeling worden toegerekend aan
de eerste productieorders voor systemen waarin deze technologieën
worden toegepast. Derhalve zijn de kosten voor onderzoek en
ontwikkeling als ‘Kostprijs verkopen’ verantwoord in de winst- en
verliesrekening gedurende het jaar waarin deze orders zijn uitgeleverd.
In 2010 zijn de ontwikkelingskosten voor generieke technologische
oplossingen die in toekomstige systemen worden toegepast, geactiveerd
onder de immateriële activa voor een bedrag van EUR 255 duizend.
The restructuring expenses are primarily the result of the acquired
activities of the former Dohmen Solutions Group.
‘Other’ includes costs primarily related to 2009 for which no provision
was made at 31 December 2009.
The impairment losses in 2009 relate to the impaiment of the owndeveloped
software in the United Kingdom (EUR 0.7 million), de
impairment of the goodwill paid on acquisition of docdata e-business
GmbH and Docdata Distributie Services GmbH (at 31 December 2009
named Pegasus Mail GmbH) in Münster, Germany (EUR 0.7 million)
and the impairment of the associated companies Courtwalk GmbH
(EUR 3 thousand) and Anything Left Handed Ltd. in Belmonth, United
Kingdom (EUR 56 thousand). In 2010 the Group sold its interest of 11%
in Courtwalk GmbH in Münster (Germany) for an amount of EUR 1.
The adjustment to the fair value in 2009 is the full write-off of the
remaining media replication activities in Berlin, Germany (EUR 942
thousand). On 21 July 2010 all shares in docdata media GmbH have
been sold.
The addition to provisions in 2009 primarily relates to amounts to
be settled in 2010.
The Group incurred expenses in 2009 en 2010 for research and
development, predominantly for the new development of the solar
technology of technology company IAI industrial systems, as well as for
the enhancement of the document security technology. These expenses
for research and development are attributed to the first production
orders for systems in which these technologies are applied. Therefore,
these expenses are reported under ‘Cost of sales’ in the income
statement during the year in which these orders have been delivered.
In 2010, the development costs for generic technologic solutions which
will be applied in future systems are capitalised under the intangible
assets for an amount of EUR 255 thousand.
