188 HIPERMÍDIAS: IntERfAcES DIgItAIS EM EA D The methodology to determine degree of compliance with guidelines of WCAG Accessibility (2008) according to each disability, museum sites selected, a survey was conducted quantitative and descriptive, from April to June 2009, with studies of relationships of variables, as presented by Lakatos and Marconi (1991). Used as sample sites categorized by museums Virtual Library museums pages - VLmp (ICOM, 2009) as "Museums of international importance", according to two criteria: site should have video or animation and sounds (for resemble virtual museums, since the list was not specific to virtual museums). The sample resulted in selection of 30 sites of museums. The survey results show that accessibility has not yet become a topic of importance to museum sites. Only 30% of virtual museums have selected pages to learn about accessibility in their sites, so still incipient. The accessibility for each of deficiencies found that: - Hearing Loss: The sites are shown as disabled in legends for videos and audios. The audio controls (stop, pause or volume control) sites had a good performance. The translation into sign language, in turn, was the least used feature, demonstrating difficulty of access, mainly for deaf illiterate. - Visual Impairment: The 30 sites have shown little concern with text equivalents for visual content. With regard to audio description on video, feature was never even used to sites. Also there has been little application of structures, layout and colors that enable adaptable and easily resize text. Images of text have been found in places where it could be used only text and has been detected low contrast between text and background. The narrow blocks of information and evidence in pages had a good application, while the keyboard accessibility has been difficult, unlikely to ignore pieces of information and a few keys. The tables found were not self-explanatory, but links have had a little more of its purpose. Headings and labels did not have a good application, highlighting

Identifying language of page and not use pop ups had an average performance, while the control for audio performance was excellent because of applications that run video formats and audio. The analysis showed that specific issues present in virtual museums surveyed would need further study, with special guidelines that dealt exclusively with issues.
