ABSTRACT
Process of working with four elements as the basic requirements and of spell casting and
witchcraft is a series of an action which forms ceramic art at the same time. The Earth is
kneaded with Water, dried with Air and Fired. In this case, terra cotta is aspell in itself.
Since ancient times, as another material which used in spell casting, human hair represent
the knowledge and ideas. The hair used with the terra cotta is a very special trace in the
artist's work,
The reason for using the human hair and the terra cotta under the title witchcraft together
on artistic draft, magic has purposes like human needs and activities such as the art and to
clarify the process of the witch's / artist's own magic to create.

İnsan saçı günümüzde sanatsal tasarımlarda ve enstelasyonlarda oldukça yaygın
olarak kullanılmaktadır. Wenda Gu, 2007 yılında Dartmouth kolejinin öğrencilerinden
topladığı saçlardan yaptığı bir afişi kolejin kütüphanesinde sergilemiştir (ŞEKİL 1).
Avustralyalı sanatçı Melanie Boreham enstelasyonlarında insan saçı kullanan bir diğer
sanatçıdır ve insan saçını insan ilişkilerinde ayrılık etkilerinin incelenmesinde bir metafor
olarak kullanır.
Pişmiş toprağın ve insan saçının sanatın farklı alanlarında ve çeşitli yöntemlerle
birlikte kullanıldığını görmek mümkündür. Bu yöntemlere ilk olarak insan saçından
yapılan fırçalar örnek verilebilir. İnsan saçından yapılmış fırçalar, resim sanatında olduğu
kadar seramik eserlerin bezenmesinde de sıklıkla kullanılmıştır. Özellikle Güney
