Bu çalışmada çintemani motifinin tarihçesi, kültürler üzerinde bırakmış olduğu
etkiler ve günümüzdeki bazı sanatçılar tarafından çağdaş yorumlamaları
incelenecektir.

ABSTRACT
Ceramic Art, which has entrenched background in Anatolia, has been
performed with different methods, and it consistently proceed from the Neolithic
ages (B.C 6800) to present days. Human being has needed to ornament him, its
environment and goods as from its creation. Thereby, various decor methods are
used to improve the aesthetics of the ceramic goods, which reflects their daily life
with different motifs. Decor and ceramic begins to be an inseparable whole in course
of time.
Cintamani, which has been performed by different religious and beliefs in
several geographies since Uyghur Turks’ period till these days, is used by artists and
designer because of its representative meaning of fertility, power and protection.
This, article will cover the history of cintamani pattern, the effects of cintamani
on cultures, and contemporary examples by several artists.
