All films were evaporated from polycrystalline V 2 O 5 powder (M/sMerck, Germany) with 99,5% purity on optical glass and transparent conducting filmsITO/optical glass. The electrochromic films were characterized by cyclic votltammetry(CV), optical spectroscopy and X-ray diffractometry (XRD). XRD results show that thefilms heat treated at 400 o C / 1,5 hours in atmosphere were crystallized while the asdepositedfilms were amophous. The electrochemical lithium insertion shows that V 2 O 5films exhibited good recharge ability of Li + / e - insertion / extraction process. Opticaltransmission spectras of films with different inserting levels also show the goodelectrochromic properties of vacuum eveporated vanadium oxide films.Keywords: Electrochromic properties; Vacuum evaporated films; Vanadium pentoxide;V 2 O 5 .233
