Abstract
Healing Children With Serpal Palsy From Yozgat Thermal: Aquatic Rehabilitation
Cerebral palsy (SP) is a neurological disorder characterized by spasticity, weakness and
deterioration in motor control, with functional loss in the child due to congenital absence of
oxygen. In the vast majority of children with cerebral palsy, progressive musculoskeletal
pathologies such as muscle tendon unit contractures are seen as secondary problems.
Aquatic rehabilitation is defined by different names such as aquaaterapy, in-water
exercise therapy, pool treatment. Aquatic Rehabilitation is the treatment of diseases and
functional losses by taking advantage of the physical properties of water. Water features help
active movement, provide postural support, help circulation by helping spastic muscles relax.
Water activities provide self-esteem and body image development in children. Water activities
that provide opportunities for social interaction and play can facilitate language development by
improving the child's sense of success. Water treatment methods have been used for centuries for
musculoskeletal and neuromuscular rehabilitation. In the first years of in-water therapy, natural
environments were preferred as application sites. The most important of these natural
environments are hot water springs. SPA centers are built around many natural water sources
today.
Prior treatments in the form of passive baths have gradually begun to take the form of a
rehabilitation treatment and are supported by extracurricular activities. The province of Yozgat
has important geothermal resources especially Sorgun, Sarıkaya, Boğazlıyan, Yerköy, Saraykent
and Akdağmadeni. Due to these resources located in Yozgat center and districts, it has an
infrastructure to become an important center in terms of aquatic rehabilitation. It is thought that
Yozgat province will contribute positively to health tourism as an important center for the
rehabilitation of children with serabral palsy and physical inadequacy with appropriate centers to
be established.
ortalama olarak 1000 canlı doğumda 2-3 olduğu bildirilmiştir. Serebral Palsy Uluslararası
