3.5.3. SHUnting SignalS
Shunting movements are controlled by
both high and dwarf signals. These signals
do not alter the type of movement, and do
not apply to train movements.
The simplifi ed signals shown at the right
small
are like the shunting signals, except that
high signal
they display red instead of violet, and
apply to both kinds of movements. ... with
They
are like the German “Sperrsignale”, signal and
can be used in the same way to select one
movement from a group that is governed
by a common high signal, or to subdivide a
track segment.
Shunting signals can be controlled by keys
too. Use mode 226 for the function outpout
of the decoder the key is connected to.
Pressing the key switches the signal aspect
from stop to proceed and vice versa.
3.5.4. Signal repeater
Illuminated signal repeaters
are used when the main
signal cannot be sighted
from the usual distance
(about 300 m) or is obscured
at certain points, due to
structures or curvature. The
diagonal line indicates that the signal is
clear for no speed restriction. In all other
cases, the horizontal line is displayed.
... with
Qdecoder shunting standard mode 2 can once more
be used signal for signal repeaters.
