3. <strong>Parliament</strong>ary appropriations<br />

The <strong>CRA</strong> receives most of its funding through annual <strong>Parliament</strong>ary appropriations. Items recognized in the Statement of<br />

Financial Position and the Statement of Operations and Agency Net Financial Position in one year may be funded through<br />

<strong>Parliament</strong>ary appropriations in prior, current, or future years. Accordingly, the <strong>CRA</strong> has different net results of operations for<br />

the year on a government funding basis than on an accrual accounting basis. These differences are reconciled below.<br />
