Annotate spot

Allows the annotation of a spot in the current model representation
This function allows the annotation of a selected spot of the displayed model. You can select the
spot with a simple mouse click on the desired position on the model.
After the selection, the text of the annotation of the spot is shown in a label connected to the
spot, and a dialog for editing this element is opened.
HINT: With the function Annotation options, you can modify the method for selecting spots (see
Selection) as well as the visual appearance of the dimensioning (see Measures).
On the creation of an annotation, the current view settings (Zoom, Cross section, Rotation, etc.)
are saved together with the new element. The saved view settings of an annotation can be
restored by a double click on the text field of its label.
INFO: With this YSWIS ("You see what I see") concept, you can for example add annotations to
details inside the model, and save them in the VFX format. Then, the model position of the
imported VFX file can be restored for the annotation at a colleague's or a customer's PC. This
enables the transfer of the corresponding context aside of mere information, which is
instrumental in the prevention of misinterpretations in terms of effective communication support
The generated annotation can be moved and edited at any time within the model view. At this,
the following interactions can be performed:
Move: You can activate the annotation by clicking on the label using the left mouse button, and
move the annotation label holding the mouse button pressed.
Tearing: Click on the type symbol on the left margin of the label using the left mouse button and
move the label to the new position holding the mouse button pressed.
