SLI interface Menu: Icon: Short cut: Saves the build data in SLI format To transfer the build data to RP-machines manufactured by 3D Systems, the slice data is stored using the SLI format containing hatches and supports. The different geometries are mapped into file internal vector types. The described dialog controls this mapping. At the RP machine the different vector types are mapped to different illumination parameters. When saving SLI It is important that this mapping is correct in reference to the resulting illumination at the RP machine. INFO: To call the SLI interface "3D Systems Slice Interface Format (SLI)" has to be chosen within the file manager when saving slice data. SLI vector settings Different geometry types are mapped to SLI vector types. The selection is deactivated for geometry types that are not available in the model, since no data can be written into the output file. No vector options is available for part contours. They are always mapped to SLI_LAYER_BORDER. INFO: For detailed information concerning the different hatch typed you can read Define machine, Tab page Hatches. Resolution The SLI format uses a 16-bit coordinate representation with a defined resolution resp. precision. This results into limits for the maximum displayable dimensions of a part.
