Defines the maximum search steps for Search optimum. More steps results in a longer
calculation time.
Rotation axis
Placement
When Search optimum is selected, then it is possible to allow a 90-degree rotation about the X-,
Y- or Z-axis to get a better result. A combination of the three axes is allowed as well. In doing so
a least height is preferred.
Rotation steps
Shape based
Activates the rotation at the placement and defines in what steps a part will be rotated, thus
how many angles should be tested. A small increment results in a lot of rotation tests, but can
achieve in better placement at the end.
Shape resolution
The shape resolution defines the precision of the shape contour. A low resolution can result in
an inaccurate projection. A high resolution needs more time to define the shape contour. The
default value of 200 pixels should be all right for the most parts. When the parts are more
complex, the resolution should be increased.
Positioning grid
The positioning grid defines the precision of the placement. A small grid results in a higher
calculation time, but with a big grid is maybe the use of the envelope not good enough.
