Allows trimming and cutting of triangle models
In general trimming and cutting of triangle models is a two step process which is coordinated by
the “Trim model” dialog:
1. Creation of trimming mask: mask type selection and interactive definition of trimming
mask on the view plane.
2. Application of trimming mask: operation type selection and execution of operation using
the trimming mask.

The combobox offers the following types of trimming masks:
• Spline: a closed rounded line loop through defined points.
• Polygon: a closed line loop through defined points.
• Rectangle
• Circle
• Freehand: a closed line loop defined by clicking and dragging with the mouse.
Now the trimming mask can be defined interactively on the view plane inside the 3D view
window. Depending on the selected trimming mask type the trimming mask is created by
clicking positions on the view plane (spline, polygon) or by clicking and dragging (rectangle,
circle, freehand).
The button “Delete” can be used to delete the current trimming mask.
