VisCAM Help 4.0 Import CAD enables you to directly process IGES and VDA-FS files with VisCAM. 14 Module VisCAM Import The imported CAD models are automatically converted into closed triangle mesh models (STL file). The resulting model accuracy can be controlled by changing the surface and boundary resolution of the CAD models during import. Import CAD is available as an optional add-on module for all VisCAM systems. File menu Contains all functions for reading and saving files as well as for the administration of the workspace. New Generates an empty workspace. Open Opens a new model file. Save as Saves the current workspace. Save to directory Saves the models of the current workspace individually to a directory. Close Closes the current workspace. Create job Generates and starts an automatic processing job. Continue job Continues a processing job that had been interrupted in the meantime. Insert Part Inserts a part in the current processing job. Close job Quits and closes the currently processed job. Open by FTP Opens a new model file from an FTP server. Save by FTP Saves the current workspace on an FTP server. Save view Saves the current model view either in a bitmap file or in a plot file. Send view Sends an email with the current model view attached. Print 15
