Tab page Process
Contains all process related parameters used for the calculation of machining time and expenses
within the scope of the function Calculate build costs.
Several different process parameters are shown dependent on the technology of the installation
chosen on tab page Common.
In case of 3-D printing, parameters for raster-based processes are shown. They are described on
the following page.
For all other technologies, the parameters described below are shown.
Build
Spot size: Determines the diameter of the beam which applies the material.
Border speed: Determines the average velocity of the machine during border set-up.
Support speed: Determines the average velocity of the machine during set-up of the supports.
Hatch speed: Determines the average velocity of the machine during set-up of the hatches.
Idle speed (power off): Determines the average velocity of the machine while moving without
curing any material.
Recoating time: Determines the time consumption for recoating between two layers.
Costs
Costs per hour: Defines the hourly rate of the machine.
Pre-processing: Defines a flat cost rate for preparation of a job. When costs are calculated, this
value can either be added to the actual build costs or not.
Post processing: Defines a flat cost rate for post processing a job. When costs are calculated,
this value can either be added to the actual build costs or not.
