Magnolia church site of
Conway-Gorman nuptials
A wedding of local interest
took place recently at Holy
Trinity Lutheran .Church in
Magnolia when Lois Elaine
Gorman became the bride of
Dennis J. Conway. The Revs.
Richard Krause and Joseph
McGowan officiated at the
double ring ceremony The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Lewis E. Gorman Jr. of 31
W. 15th St., this city, and
Magnolia. The groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph V.
Cbnway of Lindenwold.
Mary Jane Gorman of Eagle
River, Alaska, was matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Jane Daingerfield of Netcong
and Miss Annette Garlitos of
Westmont.
Eugene Conway of Trenton
served as best man and
assisting as ushers were
Thomas Conway of Hatboro,
Pa., and Lewis Gorman III of
Eagle River, Alaska.
Escorted by her father, the
bride was attired in a white
quiana gown with accordion
pleats, high neckline, long
sleeves and a chapel-length veil
draping from a seed pearl
headpiece. She carried a
cascade of white Rubrum lilies
~ with white roses and ivy.
The bridal attendants wore
sleeveless rose jersey gowns
with accordion pleated skirts.
They carried cascades of pink
lilies and pink roses and wore
flowers in their hair.
For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. Gorman selected an aqua
blue gown with accordion
pleated skirt trimmed in seed
pearls, a pearl choker and
earrings and an orchid corsage.
Mrs. Conway chosea dusty rose
gown with split sleeves and an
orchid corsage.
Following a reception at the
Tavistock Country Club, the
couple left for a honeymoon in
Ireland. They will make their
home in Haddon Heights. •
Both the bride and groom are
graduates of Drexel University.

Woodbine School slates Oktoberfest celebration
The second annual
Oktoberfest at Woodbine State
School will be held Saturday,
October 7 from 11:30 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. Rain date will be
Sunday, October 8.
Games, entertainment and
displays will highlight the day.
Refreshments available will
include hot dogs, knockwurst,
sauerkraut and beer (root).
Woodbine State School is
located on a 204-acre attractively
landscaped campus.
It is a residential facility, which
provides care, training and
treatment for 1,000 primarily,
severely and profoundly
retarded individuals. The
median mental age is less than
two years and the average
chronological age is 36 years.
Presently, new construction is
underway for an education

training, daily care and
recreation activities commensurate
with the resident's
interests and abilities. Preacademic
activity classes,
craft, music, pre-vocational

Medical, dental, physical
therapy and laboratory services
are provided In the 100bed

Carol Abbott, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Francis Abbott of this

Winter Park, Fla. The Rev. D.
Richard Garrison, pastor,
officiated at the double ring
evening ceremony.

held last week in the Senior
Citizens' Center on Ambler Rd.

Colony Club at the first meeting
of the season Monday evening
in St. John's Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Davis has been art
chairman for the New Jersey
State Federation of Women's
dubs. She teaches art and has
had several one-man shows.
The program guest presented
a travelogue using her own
paintings done while on a oneyear
painting holiday in Italy.
As part of her program she also
painted a scene entitled An Old
Fishing Shack on the Coast.
Joan Bryson, club president,
accepted thepainting on behalf
of the dub. The deposition will
be decided at a later date.

Campers seeking club formation
All campers interested in
forming a camping club are
invited to a campout October 6,
7 and 8 at the Hidden Acres
Campgrounds in Clermont.

crepe gown fashioned withal

chapel-length train. Her intermission
veil of illusion was
held in place by a cluster of
variegated flowers and she
carried a matching bouquets

University. The couple are
residing in Pensacola, Fla.,
