blades ovate or broadly ovate, 2–5 × 1.5–3 cm, 2- or 3-pinnatisect.<br />

Middle stem leaves 2-pinnatisect; segments 3 or 4 pairs;<br />

lobules elliptic or linear, 3–5 × 0.5–1 mm, obtuse apically. Uppermost<br />

3(or 4)-pinnatisect; segments 5–8 pairs; lobules minute, pectinate<br />

or shortly linear, 1–3 × (0.5–)1–1.5 mm; rachis serrate,<br />

occasionally serrulate; midrib obviously prominent abaxially.<br />

mm, occasionally with 1 or 2 teeth. Uppermost leaves and leaflike<br />

bracts 1- or 2-pinnatisect. Synflorescence a broad panicle.<br />

Capitula peduncle 5–15 mm, rarely less than 4 mm. Involucre<br />

hemispheric or globose, 5–8 mm in diam.; phyllaries white puberulent.<br />
