En - Giant egg crab.
Maximum carapace width 12 cm. Inhabits reefs from the intertidal zone to a depth of 25 m.
Occasionally collected by hand or in traps because of its large size, but not a common species and
therefore only locally of importance. Indo-West Pacific to Japan.
Etisus dentatus (Herbst, 1785)
En - Spiny spooner.
Maximum carapace width 12 cm. In reefs or among rocky substrates, from the intertidal zone to a
depth of 20 m. Occasionally collected by hand or in traps, but nowhere of significant importance.
Indo-West Pacific, eastwards to Tahiti and Hawaii, but not recorded from most of Southeast Asia.
