At the annual meeting of the faculty of
the University College of Medicine, {Richmond,
Va., held June Isl, several imij'>rtant
changes in the faculty were announced.
After a service of several years. Dr. Paulus
A. Irving declined re-election as dean of
the dei)artnient of medicine, and Dr. A. L.
Gray, professor of physiology, was chosen
to succeed him. In the department of dentistry
there was a change of similar char-
acter. Dr. L. M. Cowardin, who has filled
the post for some time, retired, and his
place as dean will be taken bv Dr. W, II.
